Press Conference at the Dubai Sports Council

A press conference dedicated to the opening of the Gymnastika Solo Cup 2024 took place on May 16, 2024, at the Dubai Sports Council.

Representatives from the UAE government announced plans to make rhythmic gymnastics a national sport in the UAE. The organizers also highlighted the scale of the event, with over 750 gymnasts from 25 countries officially registered for the tournament. Gymnastika Solo Cup 2024 is the largest international competition in UAE history.

The head of the sports events department of the Dubai Sports Council expressed gratitude for all the efforts invested in organizing such a high-level competition.

"Participation in this tournament opens new horizons for both Russia and Belarus," said Alexander Malyugin, CEO of Solo and the title sponsor of the tournament. "Here, athletes could feel comfortable performing under their national flags. We hope the tournament has provided participants with the opportunity to gain new international experience."

At the Gymnastika Solo Cup 2024, athletes were able to feel comfortable competing under their own flags. This greatly strengthens international relations and helps athletes progress towards their goals.

During the conference, speeches were given by Ahmad Al Tayeb, director of the sports events department of the Dubai Sports Council, Tariq Ali Abdalla Mallala, founder of rhythmic gymnastics in the UAE, Anastasia Zakrevskaya, CEO of the organizing club "Gymnastika", Alexander Malyugin, CEO of Solo and title sponsor of the tournament, and Marina Li, founder of ProDanceShop, a tournament sponsor and long-time reliable partner of Solo.
